Dumisani Mahlangu, the founder of Chepa Streetwear, is a passionate entrepreneur who is Inspired by his family's entrepreneurial background. Dumisani pursued a career in insurance and later embarked on a journey to create Chepa. Starting as a creative passion project while working in a corporate environment, Dumisani's love for African prints led him to develop stylish and practical garments that offer an alternative to traditional fashion. With Chepa, he aims to bridge the gap between global trends and African design, showcasing the beauty of African prints in a modern and innovative way. Through he’s leadership Chepa has grown into a reputable fashion house through an omnichannel retail strategy. Chepa works with fashion institutions to develop local design talent as well as reignite the skill and art of clothing and textile manufacturing.
